X-Mas or Christmas???

So is it really Christmas? Or is it X-Mas, as everyone now seems to call this holiday season. I do not understand why people want to take 'Christ' off from Christmas!

The real meaning of 'Christmas' seems to lost in oblivion. The fact is no one really remembers Christmas for the birth of Jesus Christ. Christmas has become more like a 'festival'. In fact, it would have been great if Christmas was seen even as a 'festival'. But it ain't the case anymore! Christmas now, is all about drinks, dance and partying.

Sure there are reasons to celebrate for the birth of Christ is a big event in itself. But, its even more important to remember that Jesus Christ no longer is a little kid in a manger. I believe he grew up, died on the cross for my sins and rose again on the third day! NOW, that's one great reason to celebrate-- the fact that He still lives for you and for me and He still hears us when we call (one of my previous posts can vouch for this fact).

There is absolutely nothing wrong in partying. But unfortunately, the hard truth is that hardly anyone does it to celebrate the birth of a Saviour.

So, I guess X-Mas seems to be the apt name now for Christmas.

The Email “Forwarder’s” 11 Step Program!!!

Found this bit... a lot of my friends get frustrated by this whole forwarding funda!!! So here's something interesting for them!!!

1. I will NOT get bad luck, lose my friends, or lose my mailing list if I DON’T forward an email.
2. I will NOT hear any music or see a taco dog, if I do forward an email.
3. Bill Gates is NOT going to send me money; Victoria Secret doesn’t know anything about a gift certificate they’re supposed to send me.
4. Ford will NOT give me a 50% discount even if I forward my email to more than 50 people!
5. I will NEVER receive gift certificates, coupons, or freebies from Coca Cola, Cracker Barrel, Old Navy, or anyone else if I send an email to 10 people.
6. I will NEVER see a pop-up window if I forward an email… NEVER—NEVER!!!
7. There is NO SUCH THING as an email tracking program, and I am not stupid enough to think someone will send me $ 100 for forwarding an email to 10 or more people.
8. There is NO kid with cancer through the Make-a-Wish program in England collecting anything! He did when he was 7 years old. He is now cancer free and 35 years old and DOESN’T WANT ANY MORE POST CARDS, or GET-WELL CARDS.
9. There is NO cool dancing, singing, waving, colourful flowers, characters, or program that I will receive immediately after I forward an e-mail. NONE, ZIP, ZERO, NADA!
10. The American Red Cross will NOT donate 50 cents to certain individual dying of a never-heard-of disease for every e-mail address I send this. The American Red Cross RECIEVES donations.
11. And finally, I WILL NOT let others guilt me into sending things by telling me I am not their friend. Friendship is too precious to be broken by a forwarded email!!!
